Connecting Talent, Employers and Opportunity
August was a busy month at SETA! From career education and workforce feedback to one of the region’s largest job fairs, each event supported our goal of connecting people with meaningful employment and helping local employers build stronger teams.
Department of Managed Health Care Workshop
On August 18, 30 attendees joined us for a workshop presented by the California Department of Managed Health Care. Participants learned more about careers with the department, navigating CalCareers and applying for state employment.
We Prosper Together Catalyst Grant Focus Group
On August 20, we welcomed seven members of the veteran and military community for a We Prosper Together Catalyst Grant focus group in partnership with Roseville and Rancho Cordova Chambers of Commerce. Participants tested a new digital tool designed to connect job seekers with manufacturing careers in the Sacramento and Placer regions. Their firsthand feedback will help make the tool more useful for both job seekers and employers.
Tri County Job Fair
We closed out the month with the Greater Sacramento Region Tri County Job Fair on August 27. The event brought together 70 employers and more than 500 job seekers at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville, creating hundreds of opportunities for conversations, connections and potential hires.
For employers who may be new to SETA, we offer more than hiring events. We help businesses connect with qualified candidates, navigate workforce resources and respond to changing talent needs throughout the region. We look forward to creating even more opportunities to bring local employers and job seekers together.
